Clinical Informatics Specialist
Salary Range : $140k to $150k
The Clinical Informatics Specialist serves as an IT resource, supporting all clinical staff roles throughout the care continuum (as assigned) in the specialty of Clinical Informatics.
He or she will coordinate and monitor the analysis, design, implementation, evaluation and maintenance of clinical informatics applications and projects within the assigned area as well as coordinate and provide direct support and education to clinicians (physicians, nurses, and other interdisciplinary team members) in their use of Health System technology including the electronic health record (EHR).
This position analyzes, programs, tests, implements and maintains clinical information systems, as well as provides advanced knowledge in problem determination, evaluation, and resolution specifically as it relates to Cerner Orders Management, Pharmnet, Meds Integration, eMAR applications and Pyxis Medication Dispensing.
Responsibilities :
Provides advanced expertise & product knowledge to install, configure & support the Pharmnet and Pharmacy related systems
Provides advanced expertise in problem determination, evaluation, and resolution.
Provides operational systems support to clients.
Codes and modifies software modules as necessary.
Assists in determining and defining departmental training needs.
Supports & maintains Pharmnet and Pharmacy related systems.
Identifies, reviews and documents project specifications & system requirements.
Assists in the development and monitoring of project schedules.
Develops and coordinates comprehensive test plans.
Monitors project progress and updates project tracking system.
Performs detailed test scenarios to minimize negative impact on clients.
Performs postimplementation support of new or reengineered systems.
Assists in developing end user training sessions as needed based on project. Credentials and Experience Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy; Doctor of Pharmacy preferred.; (as appropriate for role); licensed pharmacist.
Cerner build & application maintenance experience.
Experience in Cerner (specifically Pharmnet), Pyxis, Pharmogistics and other related clinical services and applications.
Salary : $140,000 - $150,000
