About the Role :
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our innovative Space & Defense team. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects that align with U.S. military priorities and NASA's deep space exploration programs, including the return of humans to the Moon. Reporting directly to the Site Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in designing and developing advanced rotary servo motion assemblies for aerospace and defense applications.
Qualifications :
To succeed in this role, you will need :
A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aeronautical Engineering.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the design and analysis of precision electromechanical equipment. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may also be considered.
Strong expertise in mechanical design and packaging, combined with excellent electrical and analytical skills.
Proven experience working in a collaborative team environment.
Proficiency with CAD / CAE tools (experience with UG NX is highly desirable).
Knowledge of motion control techniques and experience performing motion simulations.
Key Responsibilities :
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will :
Lead the system design of complex rotary servo motion assemblies for military and aerospace markets, ensuring high reliability in harsh environments.
Use a multidisciplinary approach—mechanical, structural dynamics, electrical, and thermal engineering—to develop integrated electromechanical systems.
Analyze system-level performance based on engineering principles and select optimal solutions for specific applications.
Lead integrated product development teams to ensure projects are completed on time and meet all requirements.
Track project progress and provide status updates to senior management.
Interpret customer specifications and requirements to develop statements of work and product specifications.
Act as the primary technical liaison with suppliers and customers.
