Sr. Systems Engineer (ServiceNow / CMDB)

< class="" data-start="63" data-end="81">Purpose

This role is responsible for the strategic and operational management of configuration item (CI) data within the enterprise CMDB. The position ensures data integrity and accuracy by developing, implementing, and improving policies, processes, and compliance standards.

< class="" data-start="354" data-end="385">Key Responsibilities

• Define and manage CIs, naming conventions, and baselines.

• Maintain CMDB integrity, including CI status, relationships, and compliance.

• Verify and document CI updates, ensuring alignment with approved changes.

• Evaluate and reconcile CI data with discovery tools and asset inventories.

• Support audits and regulatory compliance related to Configuration Management.

• Develop CMDB reports, including impact analysis and status reports.

• Integrate CMDB with Change, Incident, Problem Management, and IT Operations.

• Monitor and report Configuration Management performance using KPIs.

• Protect system integrity and confidentiality.

< class="" data-start="1044" data-end="1069">Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor s degree in MIS, Computer Science, or related field.

• 5 years of experience in Configuration Management, IT Service Management, or Systems Administration.

• 3 years managing CIs and an enterprise CMDB in a high-security environment.

• Experience with multi-source CMDB implementation and maintenance.

• Knowledge of IT platforms (Windows, Linux, Virtualization, Networking, Telecom).

• Proficiency in CMDB, discovery, and IT Service Management tools.

• Understanding of audit, compliance, and regulatory standards.

• Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.

Preferred:

• Experience with ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping.

• CM2 Comprehensive (CM2-C) or ITIL certification.

• Financial Services or FinTech industry experience.

• Background check and drug screening required.
