Forklift Driver

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to efficiently move materials and products throughout the distribution center. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and maintaining high standards of safety and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment to transport materials within the warehouse.
• Utilize RF scanners to track inventory and ensure accurate order picking.
• Load and unload products from delivery trucks, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Assist in inventory management by conducting regular stock checks and reporting discrepancies.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and achieve daily operational goals.
• Follow all company policies regarding materials handling and equipment operation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse or distribution center.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is preferred.
• Ability to operate various types of forklifts, including order pickers and clamp trucks.
• Strong understanding of materials handling best practices.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to safety.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
• Valid forklift certification is highly desirable; candidates without certification may be considered if they demonstrate relevant experience.

Pay: $18.78 - $19.57 per hour
