Sr. Disaster Recovery Technical Analyst (Contract-to-Hire)

Join a leading energy industry organization as a Sr. Disaster Recovery Technical Analyst. This role is instrumental in ensuring the company’s ability to recover critical IT systems during disaster events. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in infrastructure services, disaster recovery methodologies, and ITIL processes, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with service providers and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all activities related to the disaster recovery program to ensure systems are recoverable in the event of a disaster.
- Plan, design, document, and test disaster recovery solutions to meet business and technology requirements.
- Evaluate existing technology solutions to determine suitability for current and future business needs, recommending alternatives where necessary.
- Provide technical expertise in disaster recovery methodologies, including backup and recovery solutions, data replication, failover/failback procedures, and recovery testing.
- Lead IT disaster recovery projects, including risk assessments, impact analyses, and the development of recovery plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation of disaster recovery plans, procedures, and test results. Prepare and present detailed reports on the status of disaster recovery initiatives to senior management and stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance disaster recovery processes and technologies.
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience in infrastructure services or infrastructure analysis, deployment, and support.
- In-depth understanding of disaster recovery methodologies, including backup and recovery solutions, data replication, failover/failback procedures, and recovery testing.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with service providers and delegating operational activities under managerial direction.
- Expert-level knowledge of IT infrastructure components, trends, and best practices.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and metrics.
