The SCCM Engineer will play a crucial role in updating and enhancing our IT infrastructure. The selected candidate will work on several key projects and provide expertise to ensure the smooth functioning of our desktop environment. Key responsibilities include:
- Group Policy Updates: Address outdated Group Policies for the desktop environment to improve PC boot times and performance. Utilize skills and adaptability to enhance our current setup.
- Windows 11 Upgrade Enhancement: Engineer automated upgrades for desktops and laptops from Windows 10 to Windows 11. Expertise in debugging and scripting technologies, such as PowerShell, is essential.
- SCCM Packaging: Manage frequent requests to update or add software to the environment. Utilize the latest packaging techniques and knowledge in packaging UWP and MSI-based apps.
- Technical Debt Projects: Leverage Microsoft Intune to manage end-user devices, such as iPhones and tablets, and transition from Airwatch.
- Mentoring and Best Practices: Mentor ODT IT employees and establish SCCM best practices within the team.
- Proven experience with Group Policy management and updates.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11 upgrade processes.
- Expertise in PowerShell scripting and debugging.
- Experience with SCCM packaging, including UWP and MSI apps.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Intune and device management.
