Join us in vibrant Columbus, OH, a city known for its dynamic tech scene and innovative spirit. This position offers a hybrid work schedule, requiring candidates to work onsite in Columbus, OH weekly on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
This is a CONTRACT TO HIRE opportunity. The position will begin as a contract and will become a permanent position with our client down the road.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Assess the Scrum Maturity of the team and coach the team to higher levels of maturity at a sustainable and comfortable pace for the team and organization.
- Guide the team and organization on how to use Scrum & Agile practices and methodologies.
- Oversee the Scrum process, coach the team, and facilitate a transparent and adaptive team culture.
- Facilitate daily Scrum, sprint review, and planning meetings in a way that ensures full team engagement.
- Support and educate the Product Owner, especially on refining & maintaining the product backlog, and release planning.
- Assist in removing impediments to the team's success, such as cultural barriers or logistic challenges, supporting the Product Owner, and ensuring that the team's progress and successes are highly visible to all stakeholders.
- Foster close cooperation across all team members, encourage cross-training and support each other.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration inside and outside the team.
- Shield the team from external interference and ensure the team is fully functional and productive.
- Generate an agile mindset in the team through conversations, coaching, and role-playing exercises.
- Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of punishment.
