Protec Equipment Resources is looking for an Electronics Repair Technician to join our team. This position is a critical part of the process of getting equipment to the customer when they need it and at the highest level of quality.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Test and Repair Equipment: Help test and fix electro-mechanical equipment from various manufacturers like Megger, Fluke, and Siemens.
- Troubleshooting: Assist in solving problems and fixing equipment, even without detailed guides.
- Documentation: Keep records of the time and materials used for repairs.
- Manufacturer Relations: Help build good relationships with equipment manufacturers to support repair and maintenance efforts.
- Handling Equipment: Clean, move, pack, and ship equipment when needed.
- Inventory Management: Use company software to manage inventory data.
- Maintain Workspace: Keep the lab, tools, and storage areas clean and organized.
- Safety and Quality: Help maintain shop equipment in safe working order and assist in quality control and safety programs.

Technical Competencies:
- Basic Electronics Knowledge: Understand basic electronic theory and how to repair and adjust test and measurement equipment.
- Documentation: Ability to fill out necessary paperwork.
- Data Interpretation: Able to read and understand data from tests to determine if results are acceptable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Repair Experience: At least 6 years of experience in repairing electronic components, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Soldering Skills: Skilled in soldering, with Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) experience preferred.
- Troubleshooting: Experience in fixing and restoring electrical measurement equipment to factory standards.
- Driving Record: Have a good driving record and be able to drive a company vehicle.
- First Aid Certification: Have or be willing to get certified in First Aid, AED, and CPR.
- Background Checks: Able to pass drug and background checks.
