What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Apprentice – Security Systems position at Protech Electronic Security?
Apprentice Technician Responsibilities:
- Assist with the Installation of integrated security systems, access control, CCTV and burglar systems
- Demonstrate proficiency in reading and understanding low voltage schematics, drawings, blue prints, PDF relating to integrated security systems
- Assemble access control panels, power supplies and CCTV panels for interior and exterior applications
- Assist with troubleshooting, repair or replace inoperative equipment
- Assist with installing mag locks, strikes, electrified handsets, exit devices, exit buttons, motion detectors, door position sensors, cabling and security panels
- Ability to install various types of cables, install penetration sleeves and cable management equipment
- Candidate should be self-motivated and can work unsupervised to complete tasks.
- Performs tasks using word, excel or pdf
- Identify risk to customers and provide effective solutions
- Monitor inventory of service parts
Qualifications:
- Texas security installer license or must be able to obtain Texas security installer license
- Pass background and drug test
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail
- High school diploma or GED
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $11.00 - $15.00 per hour
