Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and reliable Warehouse Operations Associate to join our team at ProTech Fire & Security LLC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, including ordering stock, tracking inventory, and ensuring smooth operations of warehouse processes. A key part of this role includes operating a forklift to move and organize materials, ensuring that our stock of fire alarm products is readily available and properly stored.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels for fire alarm equipment and related materials. Perform regular stock counts (physical counts, cycle counts, or full audits) and reconcile discrepancies in the system.
- Stock Ordering: Place orders for necessary products and supplies based on inventory needs, ensuring timely replenishment of stock to avoid shortages.
- Warehouse Organization: Organize and store fire alarm products and related materials in an efficient and safe manner to ensure quick retrieval and accurate stock management.
- Forklift Operation: Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse, ensuring that all goods are handled properly to avoid damage or accidents.
- Shipping & Receiving: Assist in receiving incoming shipments, inspect goods for damage or defects, and prepare outgoing shipments according to customer and company specifications.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick and pack orders accurately for customers and projects, ensuring the correct materials are shipped on time.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment in the warehouse. Adhere to fire safety regulations and other applicable guidelines for storing and handling equipment.
- Collaborate with Team: Work closely with staff, procurement, and other departments to meet the demands of the business and ensure that orders are processed accurately and efficiently.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, receipts, and shipments. Update inventory management systems as needed.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by ensuring that products are readily available, orders are fulfilled correctly, and any issues are quickly resolved.
