Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating heavy machinery and will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products. The Operator will be responsible for operating various machines, including a milling machine, press brake machine, and electrical discharge machining equipment. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, with excellent quality inspection skills and the ability to perform basic math calculations.
Duties:
- Operate heavy machinery, including a milling machine, press brake machine, and electrical discharge machining equipment, in a fast-paced production environment.
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure that products meet quality standards, utilizing precision measuring instruments such as calipers.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning of machines and equipment.
- Set up and adjust machines according to production requirements, utilizing tooling and programming skills.
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve production goals and meet deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Document production activities and quality control measures.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in operating heavy machinery, including a milling machine, press brake machine, and electrical discharge machining equipment.
- Strong understanding of quality inspection techniques and the ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments, such as calipers.
- Basic programming skills.
- Knowledge of tooling and the ability to set up and adjust machines according to production requirements.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, with experience operating a forklift an asset.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or certification in a relevant field is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
