Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinarian to perform spay/neuter surgeries on dogs and cats. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose any medical conditions.
- Administer vaccinations and medications as needed.
- Perform surgical procedures with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques.
- Utilize knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology to develop effective treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate medical records for each patient, documenting treatments and progress.
- Educate pet owners about animal husbandry, grooming, and preventive care practices.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure optimal patient care.
- Handle animals safely and effectively using appropriate restraint techniques.
- Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine through ongoing education.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid veterinary license to practice in the state of employment.
- DEA Federal license
- State Accreditation
- Controlled Substance License
- Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and common diseases.
- Experience with equine care is a plus but not required.
- Proficiency in animal catheterization and handling techniques for various species.
- Familiarity with pet grooming practices is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
