Protective Force International, PILB #2687 - Fleet Specialist Job Description

Must be able to obtain a Nevada PILB Work Card prior to hire.

JOB SUMMARY : The Fleet Specialist is responsible for all aspects of fleet operations, including maintaining the company's owned and leased fleet vehicles along with other associated trailers and equipment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

Oversees the development and implementation of the company's fleet vehicle programs and policies.
Acquires and liquidates fleet assets as directed.
Performs Daily audits of fleet vehicles and equipment, for all divisions, to ensure proper care, maintenance, safety, and DOT compliance.
Inputs and maintains data in various fleet management systems, such as Excel, Word, and driver records.
Works with management to ensure the accuracy of input data and reports.
Ensures required maintenance and repairs of fleet vehicles, and equipment is performed timely and fully documented.
Ensures all vehicle accidents are investigated timely and accurately.
Works with Purchasing and Management with vehicle accident reporting requirements.
Ensures a system is in place for compliance and enforcement of applicable county, state, and federal laws, and regulations.
Develops and maintains positive relationships with vendor companies associated with fleet maintenance and procurement.
Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Must be able to obtain a Nevada PILB Work Card

Active Nevada Driver's License Required

High school diploma required.

3-5 years of fleet experience required.

Must have working knowledge of fleet contractual language.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite required. High skill level with Excel is a must.

Ability to prioritize workload, handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work self-directed with a sense of urgency.

Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communication skills.

Must be able to pass a drug screen, criminal background check, and have acceptable motor vehicle record.

Ability to read, write, speak, understand and communicate in English to perform the duties of this position.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS :

Frequent walking, standing, sitting within the work area.

Lifting of up to 50 pounds less than one-third of the time.

Ability to sit for extended periods of time.

Ability to climb ladders, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl one-third of the time.

Ability to effectively communicate with employees, management, peers, and customers.

The position requires working independently, as well as part of a team.

This position requires verbal and face-to-face contact with others daily.

This position requires the use of a company vehicle and adherence to company fleet policies will be required.

Frequent use of a computer is necessary.

Starting Pay : $20.00 per hour
