The Claims Operations Associate will play a crucial role in the administration of the Statutory Claims department. This position involves entering claims-related data into our corporate systems to maintain accurate and up-to-date information necessary for claim adjudication. The role requires a detail-oriented and analytical approach to ensure data integrity and compliance with company policies. The Claims Operations Associate will collaborate with various business functions and contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the claims process.
\n- Lead the printing and collation of daily statutory claims payments and form mailing processes.
- Register new claims by inputting claimant, employer, and health care provider data from source documents.
- Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct any incompatibilities, and verify output.
- Research and obtain further information for incomplete or indiscernible submissions.
- Perform outreach to claimants, policyholders, and health care providers to obtain necessary information for claims processing.
- Achieve and exceed departmental claim registration productivity goals and quality standards.
- Promote a positive customer experience through prompt, accurate, and courteous service.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with data integrity and security policies.
- Respond to queries for information and access relevant files.
- Contribute to a positive work environment and support departmental and corporate goals.
- Perform additional support functions as directed by management, including scanning documents, printing files, mailing correspondence, addressing returned mail, managing the claim email box, and assisting with overpayments.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in Data Entry, processing, or customer service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
- Understanding of federal and state laws pertaining to leaves of absence is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of data entry experience or administrative experience is preferred.
This role is in-person in our New York office located at 1983 Marcus Ave, New Hyde Park, NY.
The core hours for this role at 9am-5pm EST.
