Job Overview
Responsible for receiving and inventory control following the proper policies and procedures as outlined by the company and ISO guidelines. Responsible for monitoring and maintaining stockroom inventory per defined Kanban or other stocking process. Assist the operations team in achieving on-time delivery goals. Maintain the inventory in both components and finished goods areas to support corporate goals. Perform weekly or bi-monthly cycle counts. Candidate responsible for analyzing data and providing management with weekly reports when necessary. Track components through company ERP system. Candidate will be cross trained to backfill or support other department responsibilities.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Follows Proteor USA policies and procedures for the receiving and shipping of goods and services.
- Responsible for all receiving and inventory management.
- Responsible for assisting Accounting with resolution of incoming delivery issues (discrepancies, invoice matching, etc.)
- Input all transactions into GP system.
- Coordinate and perform inventory cycle count and resolution of count discrepancies.
- Will maintain right-sized inventory levels for both direct materials & indirect consumable items.
- Will transact all inventory movement from stock room to production, QA or R&D.
- Will act as backup for ordering/releasing of critical materials or supplies in support of manufacturing needs.
- Supports QA department with inventory movement and incoming/outgoing shipments to suppliers.
- Other Duties and responsibilities as assigned by Supply Chain Manager.
- Monitor inventory levels and maintaining inventory within the company goals
- Responsible for kitting and inventory delivery within production cells.
- Attend scheduled MRB meetings and process returned goods to suppliers
- Analyzing and presenting data as required.
- Provide support and participate in bi-weekly Kan-ban fulfillment within operations.
- Assist in the packaging and shipping of our products as needed.
- Contribute to the department’s effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Degree preferred or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years’ experience working in manufacturing environment within the supply chain department and Inventory and material or similar experience.
- Experience utilizing Microsoft Dynamics - Great Plains (GP) System or other ERP, Manufacturing & MRP systems
- Proficient Excel/Access Skills. Proficient with other Microsoft Office Suite of Products
- Knowledge of I-Trak or other manufacturing tracking systems
- Highly flexible individual who can manage environment of constant change.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees including management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high quality work.
- Proven ability to collaborate and work as a part of a team.
- Experience with manufacturing systems is also desired.
- Knowledge of various stocking programs (Kanban, VMI, Consignment, etc.)
