Position Summary
The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing IT hardware, software, and service support to ensure the efficient and effective operation of computer systems, networks, and software applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused approach to IT support.
Essential Functions

- Understand and work with a Help Ticket support system.
- Investigate, diagnose, and solve IT hardware and software issues or other service requests.
- Provide technical training and support for company employees as needed.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software components, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Maintain and assure confidentiality of data.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of IT support requests and resolutions using a ticketing system.
- Obey all safety rules, use caution in work activities, and continuously practice safe behaviors.
- Immediately reporting unsafe conditions/behaviors and work-related injuries to site supervision.
Core Competencies
- Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and network systems.
- Up to date on the latest IT hardware and software trends.
- Willingness and ability to learn and support other software applications as required.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Self-motivated individual with the ability to complete complex tasks and projects with minimal supervision.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for communication with management, co-workers, outside vendors, etc.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of IT support experience in a corporate environment.
- Experience with IT network administration (e.g., Active Directory, Azure) is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office Suite.
- Ability to distinguish colors and pass a colorblind test.
