JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining a complete and accurate set of financial records, ensuring accuracy and organization by recording transactions, and managing ledgers for multiple entities. The Bookkeeper follows the procedures established by the organization working under moderate supervision.
Responsibilities include:
· Prepare and process all accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
· Prepare checks and back-up for bi-monthly accounts payable, ensuring bills are paid on time.
· Prepare wire transfers and ACH payments as needed.
· Prepare bank, credit card and other account reconciliations.
· Prepare and email monthly tenant invoices, miscellaneous charges, and statements.
· Follow-up on accounts receivable collections.
· Be a resource for tenant billing issues.
· Maintain vendor files (W-9s, insurance certificates and lien wavers).
· Prepare annual 1099 forms for submission.
· Prepare bi-monthly payroll and 401k contribution submissions.
Maintain complete paperless filing system and documentation to support financial records. Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· Proficient in software utilization.
· Knowledge of bookkeeping practices and generally accepted accounting principles and procedures.
· Minimum three years of bookkeeping experience.
· Yardi Voyager experience a plus.
· Commissioned notary public a plus.
