Position Title: Proposal Engineer

Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting Direct Hire Proposal Engineer opportunity located in Everett, WA.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the development of customer proposals for various of our client's revenue streams, including Aircraft Modifications, OEM Products, and Certification Services.
• Interpret customer communications, RFI, RFQ and technical work statements to define work scope and quote requirements.
• Perform aircraft information research using engineering drawings, IPC, CMM, aircraft fleet data, internal and external databases.
• Collaborate with Sales and Engineering departments to evaluate customer needs and requests.
• Prepare initial budgets, preliminary Bill of Materials (BOM), and Work Statements as a foundation for commercial proposals and engineering work scopes.
• Define recurring kit cost budgets, preliminary schedules, and travel requirements.
• Coordinate and gather inputs from various internal departments, including Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Stress, Certification, Flammability Testing, and Technical Publications, to develop and finalize program budgets.
• Coordinate and gather inputs from purchasing and production teams to define manufacturing and part costs.
• Ensure all proposal documents are completed and submitted on time, adhering to internal and customer requirements.
• Work collaboratively with other Proposal Engineers as well as cross-departmental teams to collect accurate quotes and ensure alignment.
• Provide technical support to Sales as needed.
  
  
  

Job Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Experience: At least 8 years of relevant experience in:
• Developing detailed workscopes for engineering and manufacturing projects
• Quoting and estimating engineering hours and production kit costs for project completion
• Aircraft interiors product modification, integration, certification, and manufacturing processes.
• Design and manufacturing of aircraft interiors products, including galleys, lavatories, partitions, class dividers, PSUs, stowbins, or IFE systems.

• Job Type: Direct Hire
• Location: Everett, WA.
• Salary Range Level 5: $107,000 - $162,000.
• ITAR obligations are associated with this role, U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status under 8 U.S.C.
