Position Title: Software Systems Engineer

Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting Contract Software Systems Engineer opportunity located in Broomfield, CO

Job Responsibilities:

• As a Software Systems Engineer focused on Test Readiness Review (TRR) checklists and requirements verification, you will be using your skills and expertise to research, architect, model, simulate, test, certify, and improve cutting-edge products and services. You'll be developing complex system architectures within contextual modeling platforms, ushering them from operational concept through preliminary and detailed design, simulation, and test using progressive tools.
• In this role, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and verifying TRR checklists to ensure all project requirements are met and validated. As a cross-functional engineer, you will take system-level ownership of new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring that all requirements are thoroughly verified and documented.
• The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Software practices and terminology, enabling them to identify when to raise questions to ensure the successful completion of tasks. You should be bright, imaginative, and a capable technologist with excellent communication skills, seeking an environment where you can influence the direction of the organization and be a key contributor to the overall success of the business.
  
  
  

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's of Science degree in System Engineering or related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
• Practical knowledge of engineering principles and practices
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
• Knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles
  
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with requirements management and system modelling tools, such as DOORS, Rhapsody, NoMagic, MATLAB
• Practical knowledge of industry standard mechanical design principles, to include, but not limited to requirements management, Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)
• Experience or certification in INCOSE standards
• Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
• Ability to administer baseline definition and maturation in a complex development setting, including the use of high impact trade studies and other measures

• Pay Rate Range: $50 – 79/hr
• ITAR obligations are associated with this role, U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status under 8 U.S.C.
