Job Details
Title: Software Development III
Location: Mechanicsburg, PA (This is a hybrid role. Must be able to be onsite 3 days a week)
Duration: 6 months/ possible extension.
Currently possessing or ability to successfully obtain and maintain Secret Security Clearance.
Ability to be in the office up to 3 days/week.
Collabrative small agile team onsite 2 days per week.
Support developing application to support needs 2 to 8 team members depenant on project and team assignments.
Currently our Software Factory is supporting multiple domains and sizes of .net development projects.
Independently grow both technical and domain knowledge as career progresses.
Learning the business domain on some of our larger projects enough to design, build, and test quality software.
Team level scrum meetings, working assigned tasks, planning/review meetings, when scheduled.
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and 4 years of software development experience, or a Master s Degree in a related field with 2 years of experience. Additional years of relevant experience, training, and/or certifications may be considered in lieu of degree requirement.
Demonstrated Proficiency in all aspects of programming using standard tools
such as
Microsoft Visual Studio, Azure Dev Ops/Microsoft Team Foundation (TFS) and SQL Experience with MS SQL Server highly preferred.
Proficiency with one or more object-oriented programming languages
Proficiency with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Visio, & PowerPoint).
Proficiency in SQL technologies. Must possess strong data analysis skills to support data quality efforts.
Strong analytical and technical skills with ability to analyze issues, assess technical risks, and recommend sound solutions in a timely manner
Proficiency in analyzing data flows
Strong working knowledge of Agile methodology. ***
Goal oriented and self-motivated
Candidate must have the ability to work independently (unsupervised) or within a team environment
Strong oral and written communications skills with ability to create comprehensive engineering documents
Ability to multi-task and deliver high quality work under tight deadlines
Ability to learn, excel and deliver at a quick pace is required
Must be able to explain technical details and issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences and be able to clearly and concisely explain system concepts and problems
