Business Development Manager (B2B Sales) - Data Center Sector

Location : Baltimore, MD

Job Type : Full-time

About the Role :

As the Business Development Manager , you will manage the full sales cycle, from identifying opportunities to closing deals. You'll be working with a dedicated team to deliver high-quality products and services, including equipment rental and project execution in the data center industry.

Key Responsibilities :

Identify and target new business opportunities within the Data Center sector, focusing on equipment rentals and services.

Conduct cold calls to potential clients, nurturing relationships, and managing existing accounts to ensure growth and satisfaction.

Oversee the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing, including proposal development , negotiations, and securing long-term contracts.

Partner with internal teams (Operations, Logistics, Fleet) to ensure smooth project execution and timely service completion.

Develop and execute an annual sales plan for your assigned territory to meet or exceed revenue targets.

Provide expert guidance on relevant products and services, including generators, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC systems , and oil-free air compressors for the data center industry.

Use Salesforce (or similar CRM) to track and report sales activities, including contacts, meetings, proposals, opportunities, and orders.

Qualifications :

7-10 years of direct B2B sales experience, with a strong track record of solution-based sales and account development.

In-depth understanding of the data center and construction industries, particularly in relation to builds and infrastructure projects .

Extensive experience in managing the full sales cycle , from initial contact to contract closure.

General knowledge of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution systems, HVAC equipment , and oil-free air compressors .

Proficient in CRM systems such as Salesforce , and skilled at tracking sales progress and generating reports.

A Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in business or related field.
