What are the responsibilities and job description for the Geriatric Nurse Practitioner Specialist position at ProTouch Staffing?
We are seeking a skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide care for homebound geriatric patients in the Skagit and Whatcom county regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and mental health evaluations.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized care plans, emphasizing evidence-based interventions and medication-assisted treatment (MAT).
- Prescribe and manage medications for addiction and other health conditions, monitoring efficacy and side effects.
- Provide ongoing patient education and counseling on substance abuse, health maintenance, and disease prevention.
Requirements:
- A Master's degree or Doctorate Degree as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is required.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience working with geriatric populations is preferred.
- New graduates are also accepted.

Compensation:
The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, based on experience.
