Job Summary & Responsibilities
- Assist patients in understanding the tests they will undergo.
- Prepare patients for eye exams by providing instructions (e.g., dilating pupils) and ensuring comfort
- Performing Diagnostic Tests
- Handle surgical instruments and assist with patient positioning during procedures.
- Educate patients on how to maintain eye health and prevent vision-related issues.
- Maintain and update patient medical records, ensuring that all diagnostic tests, treatment plans, and follow-up visits are accurately documented.
- 3 years of recent experience as a Ophthalmic Technician
- COA (Certified Ophthalmic Assistant) or COT (Certified Ophthalmic Technician).
- Prior experience using Nextech (IntelleChart Pro) is a plus
- Vision Testing Refraction (in cyl)
- Proficient in IOP testing using a GAT and Tono-Pen
