Job Description
This is a 13-week travel assignment with 36 hours per week, working 12-hour night shifts. The ideal candidate will have experience in an acute care setting and be proficient in patient assessment and treatment planning.
Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' respiratory status and develop effective treatment plans.
- Treatment Implementation: Implement respiratory treatments as ordered by physicians and adjust as needed based on patient response.
- Clinical Decision Making: Make sound clinical decisions regarding patient care, including ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must possess a strong background in respiratory therapy and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Additional requirements include:
- A degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
- A valid state license to practice as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
- BLS certification.
- At least one year of experience in an acute care setting.
