Job Description:

The Staff Sonographer performs routine and complex ultrasound procedures using high-frequency sound waves to create images of the body. This role requires technical skill to adjust the ultrasound machine and experience to find the best areas of the body to obtain clear images, as certain tissues like lung, bone, and gas can interfere with the sound waves. The sonographer tailors each exam to the patient's needs and works to identify any abnormalities.

The role involves performing diagnostic ultrasounds and other imaging tasks under physician supervision, with the opportunity for peer collaboration when needed.

Requirements:

• Must be ARDMS registered with an ABD or OB/GYN credential.

• High school graduate or equivalent.

• Graduate of a certified CAAHEP school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Radiologic Technology or a two-year allied health equivalent.

• Two years of paid scanning experience.
