Overview :
Pagosa Springs Medical Center is seeking a Sterile Processing Supervisor to oversee daily operations within the sterile processing department. This critical role ensures the decontamination, cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment meet regulatory standards and hospital objectives. The Supervisor will also lead staff training, monitor performance, and provide feedback to ensure the highest quality of care for patients.
Responsibilities :
- Supervise and manage the daily processes of decontamination, cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Ensure departmental compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.
- Provide training, instructions for use (IFUs), and guidance on products, procedures, instrumentation, and equipment.
- Monitor staff performance, offer constructive feedback, and support team development to maintain high service standards.
- Align departmental operations with overall hospital objectives and patient safety goals.
- Perform responsibilities outlined in the Technician II : Certified Sterile Processing job description.
