Job Description:
A top-tier healthcare facility in Milton, Florida is seeking a skilled and compassionate Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Medical-Surgical unit for a 13-week contract assignment. We’re looking for an experienced Med Surg nurse who is ready to jump in and make an immediate impact in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care on a Med Surg unit, ensuring high standards are maintained.
- Monitor patient health, document clinical observations, and report changes to the care team.
- Administer medications, assist with procedures, and perform wound care as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment and recovery.
- Utilize electronic medical records for documentation (Cerner experience preferred).
- Adhere to established nursing standards, hospital protocols, and safety guidelines.
Requirements:
- Active RN license (FL or compact state).
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg nursing experience required.
- Previous experience with general orthopedic or general surgery patients preferred.
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR preferred.
- Strong organizational and critical thinking skills.
