About the Opportunity
We are seeking highly skilled EMTs who can provide emergent and non-emergent medical care to patients being transported by our ambulance service. Our EMTs travel to various locations, including partner facilities, patient homes, and events requiring medical services. In partnership with another EMT or higher qualified clinicians, our EMTs provide quality care to the treatment level required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides patient care under stressful and non-stressful situations
- Communicates effectively with hospital staff and co-workers
- Manages emergency scenes under stressful and non-stressful situations
- Cleans and operates ambulance equipment
- Provides basic life support duties independently, as well as follows the direction of a higher qualified clinician
- Presents themselves in a professional, courteous, and punctual manner
Requirements
To be successful as an EMT at ProTransport-1, LLC, you must meet the following requirements:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to communicate and understand English, verbally and written
- Two or more years of driving experience
- Must possess or receive, and maintain, current certification/licensure in the following:
- Current and valid California driver's license
- EMT certification
- CPR through the American Heart Association
- California Ambulance Driver Certificate (DL 61)
- DL51 (Medical Examiners Certificate)
