Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Spray Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers to various landscapes and agricultural settings. This role requires a strong understanding of pest control and lawn care practices, as well as the ability to operate various tools and machinery safely. The Spray Technician will work closely with clients to ensure their needs are met while maintaining high standards of safety and environmental responsibility.
Responsibilities:
- Apply fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, and other treatments to lawns and landscapes.
- Ensure all treatments are applied according to safety guidelines and industry standards.
- Perform routine inspections of properties to assess lawn health and identify potential issues.
- Maintain equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and offering recommendations.
- Maintain accurate records of all applications and treatments.
- Comply with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with other lawn care tasks as needed.
Experience and Requirements
- Previous experience in pest control or lawn care is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with sales techniques is a plus to enhance customer interactions and service offerings.
- Ability to drive safely to various job sites while adhering to all traffic regulations.
- Experience operating hand tools, power tools, and farm machinery is advantageous.
- A background in landscaping or farming can be beneficial for understanding the nuances of the role.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to obtain pesticide certification (if not already certified).
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
