Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, knowledgeable, and personalized service to guests, ensuring a memorable dining experience.
- Present menus, explain dishes and beverage offerings, and answer guest questions regarding ingredients and preparation.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders and input them into the POS system.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently, adhering to restaurant standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including table settings and service stations.
- Anticipate guest needs and proactively address any concerns or requests.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Develop a strong understanding of our menu, wine list, and cocktail offerings.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as required.
- Uphold the restaurant's standards of excellence in presentation and service.
- Maintain professional focus and refrain from personal phone use during service hours.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a server in a fine-dining or upscale restaurant environment.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, including wine and cocktails.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Proficient in using TOAST POS systems.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of Latin American cuisine and culture is a plus.
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol and have a valid Indiana Liquor Permit
- Demonstrated ability to maintain focus and limit personal phone usage during work hours.
