Revenue Cycle Director Summary
The Revenue Cycle Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the practice related to payment for services delivered by the practice. Responsibilities include feel schedules, payment processes, demonstrating performance of payor benefits/PA process and collections, proactively identifying patient reimbursement issues, ensuring that claims, denials, and appeals are efficiently processed, and resolving billing-related issues.
To be successful as a Revenue Cycle Manager, you should be able to manage both staff and practice processes and run a world class billing program.
Revenue Cycle Manager Responsibilities:
Implementing a system to ensure that accurate billing information is entered into the billing system.
Supervising the Revenue Cycle Department in various duties, such as account management, communications with insurance providers, collections, cash posting, contract analysis, and billing.
Managing staff performance by providing regular feedback, performance reviews, and one-on-one meetings.
Overseeing the hiring and training of staff.
Efficiently managing patient needs in respect of billing and collections.
Planning and structuring the department workflow and staffing.
Ensuring correctly coding diagnoses and procedures and complete billing and collection of all services
Revenue Cycle Manager Requirements:
Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications as well as medical office software.
Extensive proven experience in healthcare billing.
Leadership skills in similar position is needed.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations Required
Current driver’s license and auto insurance
