What are the responsibilities and job description for the 4 Month Contract Scanner position at Proven Business Systems LLC?

Description

The Scanner is responsible for client document management projects for archival and retrieval of information. Information that is being indexed for future access may be sensitive in nature and project deadlines may vary. 


Projects will be in the Proven IT Scan Center within the Tinley Park location or on client’s site within the Chicagoland area to include Northwest Indiana. Projects may vary in length and time based on the project needs and deadlines. The Scanner will be trained and certified on Laserfiche, Abbyy, Toshiba and Canon solutions. The Scanner will be utilizing Windows based programs to verify location and quality of scanned images and documents with a high level of attention to detail. 


The Scanner will work independently; self-regulating for time management and productivity is a must. High level of customer care skills and communication is required.  


Responsibilities

  • Assign scanning tasks to balance onsite or within Proven IT
  • Prepare daily/weekly action plans to ensure productivity to meet deadlines
  • Receive, review and verify requests for scanning projects; asking questions to understand the objectives, timelines and onsite 
  • Communicate with internal and external customers to understand project needs and timelines
  • Generating and processing reports for projects
  • Partner with service team to resolve any hardware or software issues to maintain productivity
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs

Requirements

  • Ability to sustain a high level of activity; prioritize and perform a variety of concurrent tasks with minimal direction
  • Self-motivated, strong desire for task completion and follow-up
  • Sharp attention to detail and accuracy; excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills via telephone, e-mail and in person
  • Conducts self at all times as the public image of the company in accordance with Proven IT’s Code of Conduct

Computer Skills

  • Proficiency using MS Office Suite; Word, PowerPoint, Outlook 
  • Previous experience with document management software, Laserfiche or Abbyy is desired but not required

Education and/or Experience

  • College degree or equivalent experience 
  • Previous customer service, administrative or IT experience desired but not required

Language Skills

  • English (reading, writing, verbal)

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license, minimum levels of auto insurance coverage and reliable transportation

Other Information

  • This is an 8am to 5pm position
  • Overtime must be a pre-approved by leadership
