Business Development (Manager / Director)
Are you a proactive and results-driven sales leader looking for an opportunity to drive business growth in a niche, high-impact industry? Our client, a growing forensic engineering consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Business Development professional to expand their presence in key markets. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in business development, relationship management, and consultative sales, particularly within forensic engineering, insurance, construction, or legal services.
Preferred Location : Dallas, TX (Secondary : Tampa or Orlando, FL) – This role requires 60-70% travel to attend industry conferences, meet with clients, and develop strategic partnerships.
What You’ll Do :
Develop and execute sales strategies to acquire new clients in forensic engineering, insurance litigation, and construction defect investigations
Attend one industry conference per month (more during the beginning of the year), networking and representing the firm to potential clients
Set up and lead client meetings, lunches, happy hours, and events to strengthen relationships and drive revenue growth
Work closely with insurance carriers, attorneys, and contractors to provide solutions tailored to their forensic investigation needs
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients through cold outreach, relationship-building, and follow-ups
Collaborate with leadership to analyze sales data and optimize CRM (ACCELL) tracking processes to improve outreach effectiveness
Represent the company professionally in written and in-person communications , ensuring a high level of client engagement and trust
Who You Are :
3-5 years of business development or sales experience , with a track record of winning new business and expanding accounts
Type A, detail-oriented, and highly organized , with the ability to track leads, follow up consistently, and refine business strategies
Experienced in outside sales, consultative selling, or forensic engineering, construction, insurance, or legal services (strong sales leaders from other industries will also be considered)
Comfortable with a team-oriented culture —this firm values collaboration and work-life balance
Willing and able to travel 60-70% of the time for client meetings, industry events, and business development opportunities
Tech-savvy and data-driven , with experience using CRM systems (ACCELL preferred), Excel, Microsoft Word, and Google Suite
