What You’ll Do:
- Team Development & Leadership (40%): Lead and develop a geographically dispersed team, from building engineers to maintenance technicians. Ensure proper training, mentorship, and readiness for critical events (e.g., storms).
- Compliance, SOPs & Process Optimization (30%): Oversee the implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs), regulatory compliance, site audits, and inspections. Act as a point of contact for property Boards of Directors regarding high-level facilities concerns.
- Business Development Support & Transitions (30%): Support due diligence and onboarding efforts during the acquisition or addition of new buildings. Evaluate maintenance health, staffing needs, and scope requirements during transitions.
- 7–10 years of facilities or building operations leadership experience, ideally across multiple sites in high-rise, residential, or commercial real estate environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Business, or related field (flexible for the right background).
- Strong project management experience, especially in capital improvement oversight.
- Experience managing remote teams across multiple sites with a hands-on leadership style.
- Ability to engage with executive leadership, property boards, and external vendors.
- Certifications (CFM, CPM, BOMA) are a plus, but not a requirement.
- Competitive Compensation: $100,000 – $130,000 base salary 10% discretionary bonus with potential for up to $140K base for an exceptional candidate.
- Work-Life Balance: 4 days onsite / 1 day remote or fully remote depending on location with an estimated 30% travel across Texas and Colorado.
