What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Specialist position at Proven Recruiting?
What you will do :
- Place Orders – Place orders with suppliers. Provide costs and lead times to internal users. Follow-up on delayed and partial orders. Resolve purchasing and product issues with suppliers, accounting, and internal users. Return or assist in returns of products. Resolve claims against suppliers.
- Manage Supplier Relationships – Assess reliability, product quality, and cost-effectiveness of current and new vendors and suppliers. Work with internal personnel who otherwise manage supplier relationships. Meet with suppliers as needed.
- Office Administration and Other – Obtain or prepare requests for employee breakroom food and supplies, office supplies, and other items non-PO items as needed. Assist with reception and other office administrative tasks, including copying and binding, as necessary. Assist in other Accounting Department and Administrative functions of the Company as requested

Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and geographic location. The expected range for this role is $70,000 to $80,000 per year. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
