MUST BE ABLE TO ATTEND A 2 WEEK TRAINING CLASS: Mon-Fri 9-5 (paid training)
FULL TIME POSITIONS: ROTATING 2ND & 3RD SHIFTS or STRAIGHT MONDAY - FRIDAY SHIFTS ON 2ND & 3RD
PART TIME POSITIONS: 12-HOUR WEEKEND SHIFTS
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide support and assistance to individuals with disabilities in an in-home environment. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Responsibilities are listed but not limited to:
· Provide direct care and support to individuals with special needs and disabilities
· Help individuals with their ADL’s & IADL’s
· Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and ensure the safety of individuals
· Support individuals in developing & maintaining social skills and relationships
· Advocate for resident rights and ensure their well-being
· Light housekeeping
· Meal preparation
Qualifications:
· Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required
· Knowledge of behavior management techniques is a PLUS
· Ability to lift and assist individuals with mobility needs
· Familiarity with assisted living or group home settings is beneficial
· Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals, their families, & other healthcare professionals
