Provenance Recruitment & Staffing is currently recruiting Fiber Processing Technicians for a large manufacturing facility located in Anderson, SC. Please see below for general information about the position. 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift positions available.
General Description
In this role, you will operate machines that process raw fibers into a soft, rope-like material called "roving," which is used in the fabric-making process. Your job will include running and monitoring different machines that clean, straighten, and prepare the fibers. No prior textile experience is needed—just a willingness to learn and attention to detail to ensure the materials meet quality standards.
Required Tasks
- Operate fiber processing machines – Run and monitor machines involved in opening, carding, drawing, and roving.
- Load raw fibers – Feed raw materials into machines for processing.
- Monitor machine performance – Ensure machines are running smoothly and make adjustments as needed.
- Inspect fiber quality – Check processed fibers to ensure they meet quality standards before moving to the next stage.
- Troubleshoot minor issues – Identify and resolve common machine problems to minimize downtime.
- Maintain a clean workspace – Keep work areas and machines free of debris to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Follow production schedules – Work within assigned production goals to keep operations running on time.
- Perform basic machine maintenance – Clean and lubricate equipment as needed to prevent breakdowns.
- Record production data – Keep track of materials processed and report any issues.
- Work safely – Follow all safety protocols and wear required protective equipment.

Pay: $17.31 - $18.31 per hour
