Employee Ambassador

Reports to: Director of Employee Care
Summary
The Employee Ambassador is a warm, friendly, and approachable individual with an unselfish interest in the needs of others. The Employee Ambassador is part of the Corporate Care team and centers on caring for employees and their family’s emotional and spiritual well-being and nurturing and preserving ProVia’s culture.
This position collaborates with an Employee Experience Specialist to promote and facilitate Corporate Care initiatives. The candidate must uphold and represent ProVia’s Purpose, Vision, Mission, and Values.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Nurture and Preserve ProVia’s Culture
- Monitor the emotional and spiritual well-being and morale of employees
- Provide support to employees who seek a safe place to discuss sensitive matters and determine appropriate next steps
- Regular walkthroughs at an assigned facility(s) to develop and nurture relationships
- Liaison for employees and supervisor relationships
- Attend Morale Committee meetings at assigned facility(s)
- Be available as a presenter for the new employee onboarding Values/CDi presentation
- Visit employees and immediate family in the hospitals, nursing homes, calling hours/funerals, and family homes
- Group facilitator for Corporate Care group-focused initiatives
- Promote and communicate ProVia values and Corporate Care initiatives
- Be available for prayer or inspirational remarks at various company meetings and events
- Assist with companywide events.
- Review ProVia Roadmap in the interviewing process
- Participate in exit interviews
- Attend seminars and training for continued professional development
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all data and information.
- Document employee one-on-one sessions
- Occasional travel to Booneville
- Perform general tasks as required
Qualifications
- Judgment and Tact: Handles difficult and sensitive issues with employees tactfully, exercising sound judgment where necessary, and maintains the highest level of strict confidentiality standards
- Pleasant manner and professional, friendly approach to working with employees
- Work cooperatively in a team effort with co-workers and the Corporate Care team
- Practical and creative problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to facilitate small group sessions and one-on-one meetings
- Ability to work successfully with employees at all levels and able to successfully manage the dynamic and differing needs, interests, and viewpoints of multiple stakeholders
- Knowledge and understanding of working with employees of cultural/religious diversity
- Effectively work under pressure and remain flexible as priorities change
- Demonstrated skill in empathy, reading people, and listening
- Preferred bachelor’s degree in related field or 3-5 years relevant experience
- Ability to travel and have a valid driver’s license
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office and SmartSheet
