Skilled Machine Set Up/Operator
Reports to: Manufacturing Manager
Department: Lamination Production
Location: New Philadelphia Facility
Hours: Monday-Friday, 6:00AM-4:30PM
Pay Type: Hourly
Summary
We are seeking an experienced and Skilled Machine Set up/Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating various types of machinery, ensuring that production processes run smoothly and efficiently. The Machine Set up/Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining equipment, monitoring machine performance, and performing quality checks to ensure products meet our standards. This role requires a keen attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality. Candidate must uphold and represent ProVia’ s Purpose, Vision, Mission and Values.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up and operate machinery according to production specifications and guidelines.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure products are produced in compliance and quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including cleaning, lubricating, and troubleshooting.
- Conduct quality checks on products and identify any defects or irregularities and take corrective action as needed.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes and achieve production targets.
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2 -3 years proven experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience with roll forming or mill work in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
- Familiarity with a variety of machinery and equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Demands
Ability to grasp and lift 50lbs. Ability to stand, kneel, sit, and reach for long periods of time and on a repetitive basis. Ability to sit or stand, using a desktop computer or a laptop, as well as other office equipment and supplies continuously. #ZR
