Maintenance Supervisor - Manufacturing Facility
We are seeking a highly experienced and confident Maintenance Manager to join our team at our manufacturing facility. This role will oversee day-to-day maintenance operations on the plant floor while focusing on increasing uptime and optimizing equipment throughput. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for managing daily schedules, improving quality, and executing strategic plans utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles. This position is hands-on, with a balance of 50% management and strategy and 50% direct involvement in maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance Management:
- Oversee daily maintenance operations and activities on the plant floor.
- Review and optimize maintenance schedules and tasks in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians.
- Track and report maintenance expenses, with a focus on reducing costs.
- Ensure accurate inventory management of maintenance spare parts.
Maintenance Strategy and Optimization:
- Implement proactive maintenance strategies that increase productive time while reducing reactive work.
- Develop and maintain an equipment health tracking system, including short-term and long-term maintenance plans (3-5 years).
- Build and manage a Capital Expenditure (CapEx) plan to address potential equipment failures and improve operational efficiency.
- Lead the implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles and TPM, providing training and development opportunities for team members.
- Analyze production metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement process changes to reduce costs and enhance performance.
- Prepare and manage operating reports, budgets, and performance data.
Safety and Compliance:
- Foster a safe and compliant work environment by ensuring adherence to all safety regulations and plant policies.
- Work closely with the EHS Manager to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards.
- Manage contractors, janitorial services, landscaping, and overall site conditions, including snow removal and parking lot maintenance.
- Coordinate necessary maintenance and repairs to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of maintenance management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 10 years of experience in the maintenance field within manufacturing.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience implementing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) or similar systems in a leadership capacity, with a hands-on approach.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Proficient in project management, root cause analysis, and process improvement.
- Experience with CMMS software and implementation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Allen Bradley (a plus).
- In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.

Work Schedule:
