Overview
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to undergraduate and graduate business student registrations, assist in monitoring student academic progress of all degree-seeking, non-matriculating, and certificate students. Support over-enrollment process for both programs; help monitor student requests for course enrollments, manage degreeworks/audits, and the advising process, prerequisite management, etc. Coordinate student communications, manage program email accounts, and program newsletters. Provide support with student orientations and advising meetings, including undergraduate declaration of major processes. Support the coordination of graduate clearance for undergraduate and graduate students, including student communications regarding degree requirements. Coordinate and communicate all aspects of MBA, MSS, MSA 502 including registration, grading, and planning of the requirements, graduate orientation, Excel certification, and MBA Math. Provide support for undergraduate excel certification. Assist in managing distance education courses, faculty teaching and summer/winter enrollment. (60%)
- Assist with the management of the undergraduate and graduate program offices, greet guests, students, etc. Assist with supervising and monitoring graduate assistants. Coordinate office workflow, manage in-person telephone, and email inquiries regarding programs. Create, manage, and maintain database(s), data, and reports as needed for student records for recruitment, advising, and reporting (accreditation, student progress, etc.). Coordinate with PCSB Dean’s Office on reporting data for multiple reporting sources. Manage BGS/AMA induction, including planning, communications, and execution of membership. Assist in coordinating graduate alumni events and newsletters. Provide support with the planning and execution of undergraduate and graduate celebratory and high impact events; including support and attendance at these events and commencement. Assist with student engagement initiatives as needed and provide support as needed with membership and support to UG and GR focused taskforces/committees. (25%).
- Oversee all administrative aspects of the graduate business application process. Provide excellent customer service to prospective students, guests, staff, faculty, alumni, campus office, etc. via all methods of communication. Respond to routine and non-routine inquiries from applicants concerning the application process, notifications, financial aid information, visa requirements, conditions, and maintain program requirements. Collaborate and communicate with offices on campus to develop, implement, and maintain activities. Assist in maintaining graduate business websites and marketing collateral. (15%)
MARGINAL DUTIES:
- Perform all other duties as may be required.
Education and Experience
- Associate’s degree from an accredited institution required; business or communications discipline preferred.
- Three to five years’ experience in a university setting or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience supporting admissions and/or student services preferred.
- Substantial working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) required.
- Previous experience with SLATE, or another CRM is desirable.
- Strong Interpersonal abilities and strong team orientation required. Must be able to work with various constituencies including vendors, prospective students, current students, alumni, faculty, and staff.
- Must possess strong organizational skills.
- May be required some nights and weekends.
