What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Services Staff Junior High School Part-time position at Providence Hall Charter School?
Providence Hall is a charter school located in Herriman UT. Central to the school's mission is teaching students to think critically, communicate effectively, and act responsibly.
Providence Hall is seeking a part-time food services staff to join our team at Junior High School.
Schedule:
- Up to 20 hours/week
- As early as 7am on scheduled school days
- As late as 2pm on scheduled school days
- May need to attend some department, building, and LEA professional development, trainings and meetings
Responsibilities:
- Monitor students during breakfast and/or lunch.
- Use the school's positive behavior intervention system to reward students.
- Wipe and clean tables.
- Sweep under tables.
- Assist students during meal times with items needing to be opened.
- Assist with breaking down the cafeteria tables.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support the food services department and school in general.
- Maintain effective communication channels to ensure a collaborative school community.
- Actively participate in assigned meetings, professional developments, and other trainings.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Possess an even temper and good work ethic.
- Work in a loud, noisy environment around many youth.
- Obtain a Food Handler's permit within 2 weeks of starting work.
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask easily.
- Positive interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to maintain calm in high-stress situations.
- Willing to effectively problem-solving as needed.
- Basic knowledge of Google Workspace and its collaboration tools.
- Capacity to perform all the responsibilities listed in this posting.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check, including criminal history, and professional references as a condition of employment.
- Lift up to 50 pounds, traverse school facility, and lead students to safety in the event of an emergency.
