Supervisor Laboratory

DescriptionAt the Chase Medical Building, under the general direction of the Laboratory Director / Manager, the employee is responsible for the overall management of specimen collection, prepping for transportation to St Mary Medical Center hospital. The supervisor has responsibility to ensure all procedures of the department are up to date, performed and followed according to regulatory and best practice guidelines. Supervisor is responsible for efficient workflow, maintenance, and quality assurance within the department, and for quality improvement projects. Has overall responsibility for all personnel matters to include hiring, coaching, and counseling, performance evaluations, competency assessments and progressive discipline up to and including termination in consultation with the Lab Director / Manager and Human Resources. Responsibilities including assisting with annual budget and monitoring of financial indicators, which includes test volumes, revenues, operating expenses, and productivity.
