Principal Healthcare Data Analyst is responsible for leading advanced strategic quality improvement and process management initiatives across Providence Health Plans (PHP). Understanding the operational objectives of PHP, provides high level analysis work (design evaluation plans, coordinate data collection across groups, partner with other analysts for reporting support, etc.). Responsible for leading and mentoring of personnel. Trains staff; provides input for performance evaluations and promotes professional development for staff. Ensures compliance with policies and procedures. Leads team meetings and acts as counsel to all staff on analysis matters.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a highly quantitative field of study (e.g. Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Engineering/Physics, Accounting, or Computer Science) -OR- a combination of equivalent education / experience
- 10 or more years of experience in data analysis
- Data analysis experience at a decision-making level
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree
- Coursework/Training: Formal training in the techniques of CQI/TQM and statistical process control methodology
- Healthcare organization/health insurer experience
- Extensive experience in the techniques of CQI/TQM and statistical process control methodology
