Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with home health experience to care for medically fragile children aged 0-21 in various locations across Georgia. This role is ideal for a dedicated nurse who is passionate about pediatric care and wants to make a lasting impact on the lives of children and their families..
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized nursing care for medically fragile children, ensuring their comfort and safety
- Manage the care of children with chronic illnesses, disabilities, or complex medical needs
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and assess each childs health status, including vital signs, respiratory status, and overall well-being
- Collaborate with pediatricians, specialists, and healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care
- Educate families on the child's condition, medication administration, and home care procedures
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient care, including daily observations and progress
- Implement infection control practices to ensure a safe environment for the child
- Respond to emergency situations and provide appropriate interventions
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Georgia
- Experience in home health care, specifically caring for medically fragile children
- Pediatric nursing experience is preferred
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred
- Excellent communication and family education skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize patient care needs
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach, with a passion for working with children
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly pay ranging from $30-$35 (LPN) and $40-$45 (RN), based on experience and qualifications
