We have an immediate need for experienced Home Health COTAs to cover our Pinellas territory.


Providence Home Care of Florida is an ever-growing Medicare-certified Home Health Agency. Our team has been servicing Pasco and Pinellas County since 2012. A person who is a graduate and meets the requirements for certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant from a program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA). Certification is maintained by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. Two (2) years experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Understands and adheres to established Agency policies and procedures.
  • Improves or minimizes residual physical disabilities of the patient.
  • Returns the individual to optimum and productive level within the patient’s capabilities.
  • Participates with all other home care personnel in patient care planning.
  • Performs all skilled procedures as ordered by the physician and according to the plan of care established by the OT.
  • Consults with OT regarding the change in treatment.
  • Instructs patients and family members in-home programs and fine motor movement exercises.
  • Prepares medical records and updates care plans for each patient visit in a timely manner as per Agency policy.
  • Performs services planned, delegated, and supervised by the OT.
  • Participates in educating the patient and family.
  • Performs maintenance therapy services under a maintenance program established by a qualified therapist, when acting within the therapy scope of practice defined by applicable state licensure laws.
  • Must have current CPR certification, TB test, Health Statement/physical clearing to work, and eligible Level 2 background

Ideal Candidates would have:

  • Medicare-Certified Home Health experience
  • Comfort using user-friendly clinical software (we use Kinnser)
  • Great communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Punctuality
