Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support individuals with mobility challenges, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Maintain accurate records of client care, including daily activities and medication administration.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
- Ensure a safe and clean living environment by performing light housekeeping duties as needed.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members regarding client progress and concerns.
Experience
Candidates should have experience or familiarity with the following areas:
- Senior care or working in a nursing home environment.
- Understanding of medical terminology related to caregiving.
- Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities or other disabilities.
- Previous experience in caregiving roles is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
