Job Overview Providence Home Care Agency is seeking a Certified Home Health Coding Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical coding and billing, ensuring accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures for medical records. Knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare billing required.
Duties
- Assign appropriate medical codes to diagnoses and procedures
- Review patient records for accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines
- Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify diagnoses or procedures
- Stay updated on changes in coding regulations and guidelines
- Ensure confidentiality of patient information
- Collaborate with the billing team to resolve any coding-related issues
Qualifications
- Proficiency in ICD-10 and other coding systems
- Ability to produce admission and recertification coding within 24 hour turn around.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Certification in medical coding is required
