SUMMARY: The Engineer performs general maintenance work to ensure the total comfort, safety, and satisfaction of hotel guests and staff; maintains all equipment, buildings, and property in proper condition.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains property including but not limited to guest rooms, public areas, equipment preventive maintenance program; ensures all maintenance and repairs are completed in a timely, cost-effective manner and according to all specifications
- Maintains the hotel’s physical operations including but not limited to refrigeration, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, laundry machines, swimming pools, kitchen equipment, emergency generators, plumbing, water treatment, and electric systems
- Interfaces with appropriate hotel staff/managers to receive information regarding maintenance needs; ensures timely response to requests
- Ensures all fire and safety inspections are completed and any discrepancies corrected; ensures property is in compliance with all safety and sanitation policies, procedures, and regulations
- Maintains ventilation/air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and other generally accepted maintenance skills
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of ventilation/air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and other generally accepted maintenance skills
- Knowledge of city and state building codes, OSHA requirements, and ADA laws
- Commitment to excellence and high standards

- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Requires minimum of 1 year of experience in general maintenance or related field
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Continually required to stand, walk, and utilize hand and finger dexterity
- Frequently required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl
- Frequently utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard
- Frequently required to lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds
- Frequently exposure to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat or cold
- Frequently work near moving mechanical parts
- Occasionally work in high, precarious places
- Frequently work around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals
- Frequently exposure to outside weather conditions
- Occasionally exposure to bloodborne and airborne pathogens or infectious materials
- Frequent exposure to loud noise
SALARY: $18-$20
HOURS: Part Time
