Job description
We are looking for a Registered Nurse to care for our clients and help them in the early stages of their recovery. You will be responsible for educating both our clients and their families on medical topics relating to substance use, prevention and healthy habits. The ideal candidate will be a responsible and well-trained professional that is able to give the best nursing care with minimal supervision. Our ideal candidate would be compassionate, patient, emotionally resilient, and inclusive. You must be able to follow health and safety guidelines faithfully and consistently. The goal is to promote patient’s well-being by providing high quality nursing care in a clinic setting.
Responsibilities
- Monitor client’s condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care
- Observe and interpret client’s symptoms and communicate them to physician
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with other nursing staff and physician to provide individualized care plans for clients
- Perform routine assessments and medical duties (i.e. CIWA and COWS assessments, vitals, intake nursing assessments)
- Enter documentation in a timely and accurate fashion as required for each client’s chart
- Input orders into the MARs, administer patient’s medication and provide treatments according to physician’s orders
- Provide medical care and support as needed in crisis situations
- Foster a supportive and compassionate environment for clients
- Provide education and training for other staff on an ongoing basis
- Expand knowledge and capabilities by attending educational workshops, conferences etc.
Skills
- Proven experience as a registered nurse
- Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
- Excellent knowledge of crisis care
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times
- A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Responsible and compassionate
- Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Patient with excellent problem-solving skills
- Valid nursing license
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $70,000.00 per year
3-12 hour shifts
On Call every other Sunday
